What is Webmail?

Webmail allows you to access the email that is still on your server.

If your email account is set up as POP3, WEBMAIL is the email that has NOT been downloaded by Outlook (or some other Email client: Apple mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc) yet, or NOT deleted off the server yet. (POP3 email client setups have a setting that allows you to “KEEP EMAIL ON SERVER” for a designated time.)

If your email account is set up as IMAP, WEBMAIL is the email that is ALWAYS on the server, and also viewable in your Email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail), until you MOVE your email from the ONLINE folders to LOCAL folders on your LOCAL computer.
